Proxy credentials while opening any Office application
I am using Microsoft Office Professional 2013 behind company proxy and firewall in a domain etc.
What I tried so far:
- Privacy options in the application (checking, unchecking boxes)
- Set the value of UseOnlineContent in the registry to 0
- Other not successful tips from the first 25 pages in Google
What I won’t try:
- let the URL through the proxy, even though I am not using anything Internet related in the application and even unchecked multiple boxes to not connect to the Internet.
Yes, I am able to just login with my authentication, but it will ask me again every time I reopen Office or restart the computer.
Any tips or ideas would be appreciated.

worked so far for me.
Elegant solution can be redirect office15client.microsoft.com to localhost.
Risk for this solution is that can be confusing if you would like use this functionality in future. There is high chance that you forgot on redirection.
How to do this for Windows 7 and Windows Vista:
- Click Start > All Programs > Accessories.
- Right-click Notepad and select Run as administrator.
- Click Continue on the Windows needs your permission UAC window.
- When Notepad opens, click File > Open.
- In the File name field, type C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts.
- Click Open.
- Insert row: 127.0.0.1 office15client.microsoft.com
- Click File > Save to save your changes
- Save and exit.
- Restart Microsoft Word
Try for this, Disable this option
And restart Excel.
Open IE->internet option->connections->LanSettings->Advance
Add office15client.microsoft.com to your IE proxy exception.
After many searches, I thought a reset settings from IE 11 seems solved this problem for me, in IE11 -> Internet Options -> Advanced, but that didn’t solve the problem.
After other searches, office15client.microsoft.com is used for initial Office activation and Office license checks.
Computers with June updates of MS-Office 2013 have this problem, while computers without do not.
EDIT 06/24/2015: With the latest MS patches (released on the 16th of June. we hadn’t these patches at 06/09/2015. ) we solved most of our problems. However, few users always have this popup, it can be solved by deleting the user’s Windows profile.

I found another possible solution posted by a James Faction:

- Tick «Don’t show the Backstage when opening or saving files» and
- UNtick «Show additional places for saving, even if sign-in may be required».
As jehon already answered, you can disable the Internet connection for all MS-Office 2013 products (Word, Excel etc. ) by using the following Regedit file:
But for me it was not enough and as some other commented, there was still some more popup appearing when starting e.g. Excel. This is probably due by the proxy I have to use at work which needs authentication.
The other answer to put that Microsoft URL in the no-proxy setting is not working if you really need the proxy to browse Internet.
Solution 1
This solution, additionally to the Registry modification (c.f. Regedit script above), is to totally disable the connection by adding the following line in the file C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts like this:
I suggest to enter similar entries for all the popup you receive (as long there is a destination address like officeimg.vo.msecnd.net in the OP. For me it look quiet now and no more authentication popups appears.
Solution 2
Another way to bypass these popups is to create a shortcut with:

But each time you execute it you have a DOS Windows which ask you your password for proxy.domain\myusername and another way to bypass this is to echoing the password like this:

Conclusion
Solution 2 have many drawbacks: — You have to make a specific shortcut per application — You have either to feed the password (2a) at every launch or to create very unsecure shorcuts with your password inside (2b)
Solution 1 drawback is that you will not be able to access the domain you put in the file, but it seems they are only for client application.

Приходиться много раз закрывать это окно, чтобы начать работать.
Так же из-за обращение к этому ресурсу происходит задержка открытия любых документов.
