Инструменты для рисования фигур в Illustrator позволяют легко и точно создавать базовые фигуры. Кроме того, большинство фигур, созданных с помощью этих инструментов, являются динамическими фигурами. Это значит, что их можно корректировать динамически, не переключаясь на другой инструмент.

Рисование базовых фигур

Большинство инструментов для рисования фигур отображаются при нажатии и удерживании инструмента Прямоугольник на панели инструментов. Чтобы найти другие инструменты для рисования фигур, выберите в нижней части панели инструментов.

Выберите инструмент Прямоугольник (M) и перетащите его на холст, чтобы нарисовать соответствующую фигуру. Чтобы нарисовать квадрат, при перетаскивании нажмите Shift .

• Длина по оси X : указание ширины дуги.
• Длина по оси Y : указание высоты дуги.
• Тип : определение того, будет ли дуга замкнутой или открытой.
• Вдоль : определение направления дуги. Выберите Ось X или Ось Y , чтобы нарисовать арку вдоль горизонтальной (X) или вертикальной (Y) оси.
• Наклон : определение направления наклона дуги. Чтобы получить вогнутую дугу, введите отрицательное значение. Чтобы получить выгнутую дугу, введите положительное значение. При нулевом значении наклона получается прямая линия.
• Окрашивать дугу в цвет заливки : окрашивание дуги в текущий цвет заливки.

Выберите инструмент Спираль .

Нажмите в том месте холста, где должна начинаться спираль. В диалоговом окне Спираль задайте следующие параметры:

• Радиус: определите расстояние от центра до самой дальней точки спирали.
• Уменьшение: определите величину, на которую каждый виток спирали будет уменьшаться по сравнению с предыдущим витком.
• Число сегментов : определите количество сегментов в спирали. Каждый полный виток спирали состоит из четырех сегментов.
• Стиль: определите направление спирали.

Рисование звезд

Выберите инструмент Звезда .

Нажмите в том месте холста, где должен быть центр звезды. В диалоговом окне Звезда , задайте следующие параметры:

• Радиус 1 : укажите расстояние от центра звезды до наиболее близких точек звезды.
• Радиус 2 : укажите расстояние от центра звезды до наиболее удаленных точек звезды.
• Вершины : укажите, какое количество вершин будет у звезды.

Можно также использовать клавиши со стрелками вверх и вниз для увеличения или уменьшения числа вершин звезды.

Модификация фигур

После создания фигуры можно изменить ее атрибуты в разделах Преобразование , Внешний вид и Выравнивание на панели Свойства . Для доступа ко всем параметрам выберите в каждом из этих разделов.

Кроме того, для изменения динамических фигур можно использовать виджеты управления на фигурах, как показано ниже:

Чтобы изменить масштаб динамической фигуры, перетащите любой из восьми маркеров ограничительной рамки.

При перетаскивании виджета динамического угла угловые точки изменяют форму в соответствии с тремя доступными типами углов. Доступные типы углов: скругленные, скругленные перевернутые и скошенные.

Выберите инструмент Прямое выделение .

Перетащите виджет Динамический угол для автоматического перетаскивания всех углов или выберите и перетащите конкретный виджет Динамический угол .

Изменение настроек углов

В диалоговом окне Углы можно изменить настройки углов. В диалоговом окне Углы можно задать стиль, радиус и тип скругления угла. Изменение настроек углов

Дважды нажмите виджет динамического угла .

Выберите стили угла и скругления , затем укажите радиус угла.

Советы и рекомендации

После создания прямоугольника со скругленными углами невозможно изменить радиус угла. Если вы знаете, что может потребоваться изменение радиуса угла, нарисуйте обычный прямоугольник, выберите Эффект > Преобразовать в фигуру > Прямоугольник со скругленными углами , затем укажите параметры для скругленных углов.

How to Create Zig-Zag Lines in Illustrator

It’s easy to create zig zag lines in Illustrator, and there’s no pen tool required. Have you ever tried using the pen tool to create something symmetrical in Illustrator? Beyond, say, a straight line? Bravo to you if you have! Personally, I find it to be a total pain in the you-know-what.

To achieve a perfect, symmetrical zig zag line, we’ll be using a combination of the Line Segment Tool and the powerful Zig Zag Effect in the Distort & Transform menu bar. So simple, fast, & easy!

I’m going to be using Illustrator Creative Cloud for this tutorial (which is a fancy way of saying that I’m using a cloud-based Illustrator with all the latest & greatest features), but creating zig zag lines is a basic process that can be duplicated in older versions of Illustrator. Keep in mind that depending on which version you’re using, it may require a few additional steps. Some of the tools, toolbars, or various features might be located in a different place, so don’t give up before you have a look around.

How to Create Zig Zag Lines in Illustrator

How to Create Zig Zag Line in Illustrator Step #1: Draw A Straight Line

Choose the Line Segment Tool from your toolbar and drag out a line while holding down the Shift key. Holding shift keeps the line perfectly straight/level.

How to Create Zig Zag Line in Illustrator Step #2: Create Peaks

From the top menu bar, select Effect > Distort & Transform > Zig Zag. Check Preview so that you can see the changes in real-time and get the effect you want.

• Size affects the height of the line.
• Ridges per Segment will give us more or fewer peaks.
• For sharp zig zags, ensure that Corner is selected. Otherwise, if you select smooth, you’ll have wavy lines (like ric rac).

When you’re happy with the result, click OK.

How to Create Zig Zag Line in Illustrator Step #3: Adjust the Zig Zag

Using the Selection Tool (keyboard shortcut: V), click on your line. In the top bar, you can adjust the stroke up or down to achieve your desired thickness.

From here, you can adjust the color, or you can select the Zig Zag effect from your Appearance Menu (if you don’t see the appearance menu, go to the top bar > Window > Appearance. Make your zig zag line taller, shorter, or increase the number of peaks and valleys.

How to Create a Zig-Zag Line in Illustrator

Step 1

So how do we create a zig-zag line in Adobe Illustrator? Well, first we need to create an object for Illustrator to work from. For this example we will use a line, but this effect can be applied to a shape (or both) as well. To do this, simply use the Pen Tool (P) or the Rectangle Tool (M) if you wish to create a shape.

To draw a straight line, hold down the Shift Key on the keyboard whilst creating it. This will act as our main object to apply the zigzag in Illustrator.

Step 2

Now with the line selected, go to the top menu bar and select Effect > Distort & Transform > Zig Zag to apply the zigzag in Illustrator.

Step 3

When the new window pops up, make sure that the Preview option has been selected so that you can see the changes you make to your shape.

Step 4

Now let’s play around with the controls to see how it affects the look of our zig-zag line Illustrator effect!

The first option at the top is Size. This controls the height of the zig-zag effect on the Illustrator object.

Step 5

Next we have Ridges per Segment, which increases or decreases the number of zig-zags we have on the line.

Step 6

Next we have the option to choose between Smooth or Corner, which will give you smooth wavy lines or sharp pointy ones respectively.

Step 7

From here, you can always return to adjust the look of your zig-zag object by going to the Appearance Menu. This can be accessed by going to the top menu bar and selecting Window > Appearance.

You can adjust the stroke thickness and colour here as well!

Creating jagged zig zag and wavy lines in Illustrator

It’s easy to create a jagged zig-zag line or a curvy wave using Adobe Illustrator’s built-in vector modifying tools.

In a new document, select the line tool by pressing the backslash (\) key. Drag to create a new line. Press shift before dragging with your primary mouse button down to create a perfectly horizontal or vertical line.

With the line selected, go to Effect > Distort and Transform > Zig Zag… to bring up the Zig Zag dialog box.

Play with the options to get the desired effect you want. The Size option will create larger Zig Zags (further from the original line). The Ridges per segment option determines how many zigs and zags on the line. Ensure you have the Preview checkbox selected to see your line change as you edit the options.

Select the Smooth radio button to get a curvy line instead of a cornered zig-zag. Click OK to apply the effects.

To go back and edit the options of your Zig Zag at any time, select your Zig Zag line. Then, in the Appearance window, double click on Zig Zag. You can find the Appearance window by selecting Window > Appearance from the top menu.

You may want to Expand Appearance to convert the zig zag from an Adobe Illustrator effect to a plain vector path. This has the added benefit of portability (Adobe Illustrator effects might not work in other programs or in the SVG format). However, if you’re staying in Illustrator, it’s probably ideal to keep the line as an effect so you can modify the Zig Zag’s options if you change your mind.

To do this, go to Object > Expand appearance in the menu.

You are then free to edit the individual points of the bezier curve, like a regular path.
