Hello,
since i recently searched the web about the mail.ru Anti cheat and had mostly negatives about it i would like to share my way of getting rid of it.
Mail ru Anti Cheat installer is located in the Gamefolder where the Game.exe(proven_Ground_client) is located.
It installs automatically when you installing your game.
Its located here later: C:\Windows\System32\mracsvc.exe
It also runs as a Windows Service.. so my workaround is to create a .BAT file.
First:
You cant delete it or take away read/write Permission or otherwise the Game wont start up.
The only thing you can do is to go to Windows Firewall ->advanced Settings ->a Window for the Firewall Rules should open.
There you make a new rule for program->locate mracsvc and the BrowserSubProcess and and set it to block for In and Out.
Second:
Create a new txt file and copy this inside.
taskkill /F /PID GameCenter.exe
taskkill /F /PID BrowserSubProcess.exe
net stop /y mracsvc
taskkill /F /PID steam.exe
After that you go save as, choose "all files" and write .BAT behind the given Name for ur Batfile.
Place it on Desktop so you always know where it is.
Once you done and closed everything, go to start and search for "services" without"".
Scroll down the list until you find MRAC Service.
Rightclick, properities -> set it to manual and turn it off if its on.
And then you basically done.
All you have to do is starting the game, it will start the mrac Service automatically.
Once ur in the Login Screen, minimize Game and run ur .Bat file as Admin.
It will deactivate the MRAC Service, close the GameCenter, Close the BrowserSub Process and close Steam.(closing steam is optioanally) If you dont want to close it then just remove the last line of the code.
To make sure that you dove everything correct you can check in Taskmanager if GameCenter,Steam,BrowserSubProcess and mracsvc is not running. Or go back to "services" without "" Window and run the game. You will see that the service will start with the game.
Then use the Bat and check if its off again. If it is you good to go!
I dont know for sure if it can cause any harm to let these sub processes run on your Computer but even if they maybe not harming you.
Less Processes means less problems. So i dont see any bad things if we do this. I had sofar no problems running the game without these Processes.
